Pinot Butter & Jellies: Bridal Party Portraits

January 7, 2011

After getting a nice moment alone during our first look, we rallied the troops for some bridal party portraits.  Literally.

As you may recall, I really wanted a saber arch for our wedding, but we were worried that we wouldn’t be able to have one due to the fact that servicemembers are overseas so much.  Luckily, several of Mr. Jelly’s Air Force buddies, as well as his Marine brother, came out from all across the country for our wedding and made it happen.  Love these guys!

This may just be my favorite group shot of the day.

Our photographer captured some artsy individual portraits with the saber arch…

And then it was time to take group shots with our bridesmaids and groomsmen.  First up, the lovely ladies:

I also got a shot with my cousin and Maid of Honor, who flew all the way out from Romania to make it to our wedding.  She’s like a sister to me.

Our photographer asked if I wanted to take any other individual shots with specific bridesmaids, and I said no because we had such a large bridal party and I felt pressed for time.  Looking back, I really wish I had photos with each of my bridesmaids, or at least smaller groups of them.  Hindsight’s 20/20, I suppose.

Next, Mr. Jellyfish and his handsome groomsmen struck a pose:

Notice anything different?  While I was taking group shots with my ladies, Mr. Jelly changed into a tuxedo.  Yes, that’s right – the groom had an outfit change!  While I love me a man in uniform, Mr. Jelly decided he wanted to don a traditional tux for our wedding, since he had already worn his uniform to our City Hall ceremony.  He did, however, want to have a uniform on for photos with the saber arch guys (and our first look), so I got the best of both worlds.  Score!

Mr. Jelly and his two Best Men.

Mr. Jelly and his brothers.

Our ringbearer dutifully held my train (and kept hydrated!) while the groomsmen took their group shots:

All together now!
